Fighting Their Demons
All kinds of factors play in to someone having PTSD. Being a veteran, a bad accident, or in Jase's case, he has it from the time he was a kid. He had to watch from the plated door of the closet as his own brother murdered his family. He has PTSD from having to kill his own brother. Training them to help someone going through something, or just for an everyday pet, made her heart full and her mind busy. She didn't have to think about how she got pregnant from a stranger. The Final Fight

By the end of the night, he might just do both.
